Featured artist are welcome to perform to expand their audience and music.
We also have an option to enter our contest. 3 winners will be chosen
Winners of the competition are chosen by the crowd and the judges by a scoring system.
First place prize is $300 cash, magazine placement, tv interview, radio rotation for 1 month and 1 hour of free studio time at 16 bars recording studio.
Second place prize is $150, magazine placement and radio rotation for 2 weeks.
Third place prize is $50, magazine placement and radio rotation for 1 week.

The Hood Idol Tour – “I Want To Be Heard” Showcase in New Albany, Indiana on Sunday, May 24, 2026, is part of the long‑running Hood Idol Tour series — a national platform created to spotlight independent artists, DJs, comedians, and poets from across the South and Midwest.

This stop of the tour is designed as a multi‑genre showcase, blending Southern Soul, Hip Hop, Comedy, and Poetry under one roof. It’s hosted at Da Frog (1720 Old River Rd), with doors opening at 7 PM and the show starting at 8 PM. The event’s theme — “Come see the stars before they become superstars!” — captures its mission: giving emerging talent a stage to be seen and heard before breaking into larger markets
